About your instructor

Dr. Jillian

Dr. Jillian is one of our physician trainers and specializes in advanced laser therapy and sclerotherapy. She attended medical school at Cornell University in New York City, before training as a general surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital here in Denver. When Dr. Ciocchetti is not instructing students at NMTI she is currently in private practice and offers cosmetic and surgical therapies out of her office in Denver. Her specialties include all areas of general surgery and the medical and cosmetic treatment of veins on the legs and face. She offers in-office hands-on training to physicians, nurses, and aestheticians in cosmetic lasers and sclerotherapy and leads a variety of courses at NMTI, including Sclerotherapy and Laser Training and Certification. Dr. Jillian is also NMTI medical director for our Denver location.

The Laser Training and Certification Program at the National Medspa Training Institute (NMTI) is a comprehensive course designed to train and certify new aesthetic professionals, nurses, and laser technicians in cosmetic laser and light treatments. The course prepares students for state licensing as laser specialists and includes the prestigious NCLC certification, one of the highest levels of certification in the U.S.
The course is open to aesthetic professionals, registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and other licensed medical professionals looking to enter the aesthetic field or expand their skills.
The NCLC (National Council on Laser Certification) is the only true national certification for laser technicians. It ensures that students have received the highest level of education and training in laser and light procedures. Obtaining NCLC certification sets you apart from competitors in the field.

The course requires a total of 120 hours, divided into three parts:

  • 40 hours of online pre-certification training (self-paced)
  • 40 hours of hands-on training at our Colorado Springs facility
  • 40 CME-accredited hours

During the hands-on training, you will work with live patients to gain experience with the following procedures:

All necessary supplies, such as laser and light equipment for the hands-on training, are provided at no additional cost to the student. You will also receive textbooks and workbooks for both the online and hands-on portions of the program.
